IGGA Announces New Officers and Board of Directors

The International Grooving and Grinding Association (IGGA) – a non-profit organization dedicated to serving as the leading JenneImholteDeckerpromotional and technical resource for acceptance and proper use of diamond grinding and grooving as well as pavement preservation/restoration markets — has announced the election of new board members and the slate of officers for the 2010 year.

The officers for 2010 are as follows:

  • President: Jenne Imholte-Decker of Simplex Construction Supplies, Inc. (Minneapolis, Minn.)
  • Vice President: Pete Lewis of Highway Services, a division of Penhall (Rogers, Minn.)
  • Secretary: Alex Ugalde of Diamond B (Santa Fe Springs, Calif.)
  • Treasurer: Scott L. Eilken of Quality Saw & Seal (Bridgeview, Ill.)
  • Past President: Terrance “Terry” Kraemer of Diamond Surface, Inc. (Maple Grove, Minn.)
  • Director: Jerry Voigt of ACPA (Skokie, Ill.)
  • International Director: Charley Grady of Crafco (Chandler AZ)

The first female president of IGGA, Imholte-Decker grew up in the industry. Her uncle was a co-founder of Progressive Contractors Inc. and her dad was their first foreman hired in 1971. She worked for Progressive Contractors Inc. herself as a laborer for seven years. She has been with Simplex Construction Supplies, Inc. for 12 years.

Imholte-Decker said her goal for the IGGA in 2010 is to help member become more politically active.

“The authorization of the 6 year Transportation Bill is very important to our infrastructure and I want to encourage and help ensure IGGA members earn their share of the work,” said Imholte-Decker. “We need to reach out to more state and county engineers and educate them about the long-term benefits of Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation. With increased participation through our membership, this can be achieved.”
