Liebherr USA Co. Celebrates the Groundbreaking of its New Headquarters in Newport News, VA.

Liebherr USA, Co. continues to strengthen its position in North America and prepares for

sustainable long-term growth.

Liebherr begins construction of its $45 million expansion in Newport News, VA.

Newport News, VA (USA) July 23, 2018 – Members of the Liebherr family, Executive

Management and Newport News city officials gathered last Friday, July 20th for a

groundbreaking ceremony on site in Copeland Industrial Park to celebrate the

construction of the new Liebherr USA, Co. headquarters.

The commencement of this $45 million expansion project marks the beginning of an exciting

new chapter for Liebherr in the United States. The company that has been manufacturing

and operating in Newport News, VA for over 48 years broke ground at the site adjacent to

its current location. The new facility will serve as the new headquarters for Liebherr USA,

Co. and will include the construction of three new buildings: a state-of-the-art four-story

administrative building, a carefully designed warehouse, and parts distribution center to meet

current and future requirements, and a modernized production and workshop facility

intended to support the company’s cranes, construction, and concrete divisions. Once

completed, the new buildings will add over 251,000 square feet to the existing 560,000

square foot Liebherr campus. This investment will greatly impact the company’s operations

in the U.S. and drive Liebherr’s strategy for long-term growth.

With shovels in hand, Mrs. Sophie Albrecht, Jan Liebherr, Newport News Mayor McKinley

Price, Managing Directors of Liebherr USA, Co., its building partners and government

officials broke ground during the ceremony.

message of commitment to our customers, employees and the local community here in

Construction is expected to be completed in 2020 and will house Liebherr USA, Co.

employees working in administration, finance, marketing, human resources, sales and

service, product support, production and distribution for eight product divisions.

Liebherr USA, Co., Construction Equipment Division continues to expand with a new company owned store in Kansas City, MO

The grand opening of the new Liebherr Equipment Source (LES) store is set for April 2, 2017, located at 707 Mulberry Street, Kansas City, MO. The new location is the first one in the state of Missouri (MO), and supports the Construction Equipment Division‘s goals to strengthen its customer support and equipment distribution across the United States.

The new Liebherr Equipment Source (LES) store will service the general Kansas City market and provide service to the outlying areas of Kansas and Missouri. This additional location will accommodate the customers in the region with a variety of services such as; parts, service; both in-shop and on-the-road, maintenance, leasing, and sales of Liebherr construction equipment. The facility will include four service bays, a loading dock, and two training rooms.

Currently, Liebherr has four Equipment Source (LES) locations; there are two in Virginia, one in Maryland, and one in North Carolina. These locations – including the new one in Missouri – provide only original Liebherr Parts when customers require services. This service concept is especially important to ensure the safest, most reliable, cost-efficient, and productive operations for Liebherr customers.

Ana Cabiedes-Uranga Promoted to General Manager of Marketing for Liebherr USA, Co.

LiebherrLogo_Small 2Liebherr USA, Co., recently announced the promotion of Ana Cabiedes-Uranga to the position of General Manager, Marketing.  In her new role she will be responsible for leading and facilitating the company’s marketing efforts and strategy for the eight divisions that fall under the newly formed Liebherr USA, Co. umbrella.

Ana has over ten years of combined marketing and management experience at Liebherr with expertise in implementing integrated marketing communication strategies. She has also managed public relations and led large-scale projects and events including Liebherr’s participation at Conexpo Con/Agg. In her most recent position as Marketing and Communications Manager for Liebherr Construction Equipment, Co., she played a significant role in the development of strategic marketing initiatives and programs for its rapidly expanding distribution network in the United States.

Ana joined Liebherr in 2005 and has taken on increasing responsibilities in a number of positions within the construction division and is well positioned to take on this newly created position at Liebherr USA, Co.  She has also served on a variety of committees for major industry associations and trade events.  Ana holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM).
