ASA President To Share Tips For Getting Better Subcontracts In Today’s Recession-Battered Construction Economy At Nov. 16 Workshop

Construction subcontractors interested in learning how to identify unfair contract terms and negotiate better subcontracts are invited to attend. Credentialed news media are also invited to attend.

Workshop on “Using the ASA Subcontract Addendum,” an ASA of Mississippi-hosted program presented by 2011-12 American Subcontractors Association President Kerrick Whisenant, Cornerstone Detention Products Inc., Tanner, Ala.

This workshop will give subcontractors resources and tips to use the ASA Addendum to Subcontract (2011) to negotiate better subcontracts, even in today’s recession-battered construction environment. Subcontractors will:

  • Learn how to use the ASA Addendum to Subcontract (2011) to evaluate the risks of a proposed subcontract.
  • Learn how to leverage the addendum in subcontract negotiations.
  • Learn how to make a counter-offer for a better subcontract using the addendum.
