Atlas Copco Names Business Line Manager For Portable Energy

Mark Taylor has been appointed to the position of business line manager for portable energy for Atlas Copco Construction Equipment in the U.S. He will be responsible for the profit and loss of all portable energy products including compressors, boosters, generators and pumps.

Based out of the U.S. headquarters offices in Commerce City, Colorado, Taylor will be managing a newly assembled team including business development, product management and sales coordination personnel. Taylor and his group will be targeting the general construction and utilities markets, with specific interest in the oil and gas and specialist power generation markets.

Taylor joined Atlas Copco in 1988 as a field service engineer and has held positions in technical support, product engineering, key account sales management and divisional management. For more than four years, he managed Atlas Copco’s business in the United Kingdom. The majority of his time at Atlas Copco has been spent in technical sales and marketing to the oil and gas and specialist power generation sectors.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Engineering & Management from the University of Bedfordshire UK, Taylor has also completed study in HNC design engineering at the Southampton Institute of Engineering.

He reports to Erik Sparby, president and general manager of Atlas Copco Construction Equipment in the United States.
