LAS VEGAS — LB Performanceä, a division of VT LeeBoy, will introduce its new Blaw-Knox branded PF-161B Paver/Finisher at booth C-6581 at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG show in Las Vegas. The PF-161B is a powerful paver in its size class, and shares the same rugged design standards, advanced technology and modern features as the smaller PF-150B model. Producing seamless mat quality results every time, the rubber tire paver provides a superior level of reliability and smooth operation. It features a durable design and is mobile enough to move easily in confined areas, making it ideal for a variety of projects, including parking lots, secondary roads, and even some highway applications.
The PF-161B features a 110-horsepower, 4-cylinder Cummins diesel engine. The user-friendly hydrostatic planetary direct-drive system incorporates top quality components, including a two-speed motor and a smooth propulsion system, to provide precise control and consistent speed. Combining an electronically controlled traction lock and front-wheel power assist, this modern system offers high traction control for enhanced mobility on uneven surfaces. And for operator peace of mind, spring-applied, hydraulically released secondary brakes have been integrated.

Further enhancing smooth mat quality is the electric screed heat system. The standard 161-01E front-mounted vibratory screed is hydraulically-adjustable to offer paving widths from 8 to 14 feet. Optional bolt-on extensions are also available and expand paving width to 16 feet. The SureHeat® heating system provides quick, reliable heat distribution to the entire screed base, allowing the screed to create a smooth surface texture.
Featuring a 9.8-ton capacity hopper and dual feed system, the PF-161B is capable of placing a variety of materials including bituminous base, binder and surface course mixes, cement- or lime-stabilized sub-base and graded aggregate materials. Providing an unmatched level of accuracy, the balanced dual feed system delivers optimum material flow for desired width and depth. Conveyors deliver the material via two adjustable power flow gates to the heavy-duty, 14-inch augers, which in turn feed it to the screed for application.
Dual control position stations are each equipped with an operator’s seat, and direction and speed control pedestal. Each operating console pivots right and left, providing superior user comfort and control from any position. Furthermore, an optional TopconÔ digital grade and slope control system is available for enhanced precision and accuracy.
Designed for fast, simple cleanup and routine maintenance, the PF-161B features an 8-gallon, pressurized washdown system and maintenance-free conveyor and auger bearings. The bearings are greased for life, eliminating daily greasing requirements. To create the cleanest operating environment, the machine includes a ventilation control system.
