LiuGong Construction Machinery announces the promotion of Dan Collins to Deputy General Manager of Global After Sales Support. In this new position, Collins will be responsible for spearheading all of LiuGong’s Global After Sales Support efforts to ensure customer satisfaction.
According to Collins, “LiuGong understands that to become a market leader, the company must consistently invest in a second-to-none parts and service program to maximize equipment uptime, making LiuGong machines as profitable as possible on the jobsite. The equipment business is a very competitive one and LiuGong is committed to their goal of becoming one of the Top 10 equipment manufacturers in the world by 2015, not only by building an excellent product, but also by offering the aftermarket sales support that is so critical to its customers.”
Consistent with LiuGong’s hiring practices in North America, the company has sought out an experienced construction industry veteran for this newly created position. Collins has more than twenty-six years of experience in the equipment business. His tenure includes working for some well-established brands including Caterpillar, Kobelco and Case New Holland. Twelve of his twenty-six years in the industry were spent on the dealer level. Some of the key experience Dan brings to LiuGong comes from his start as a parts counter representative through his positions as Parts Manager, Service Manager, Rental Manager, Warranty Manager and Vice President of Operations. The After Sales Support knowledge on all levels of the construction business has helped Dan thus far in his prior position as LiuGong’s Director of Global Support and paved the way to his promotion into the Deputy General Manager position.
“Dan is a tremendous asset to LiuGong’s team of experienced, dedicated staff members,” states Fred Ridenour, General Manager of Business Operations for LiuGong North America. “He travels between the US and China to ensure that LiuGong continues to provide superior customer service and support after the sale to LiuGong equipment owners around the world, including North America.”
Collins splits his time between LiuGong’s centrally located North American Headquarters in Houston, Texas and LiuGong’s Corporate Headquarters in Liuzhou, China. He frequently visits LiuGong’s 10 subsidiary locations and their parts depots around the world to gain further feedback and input about ways LiuGong can expand their current after the sale support programs. Collins resides in Katy, Texas with his wife and two daughters.
