New Report Evaluates Condition And Funding Needs Of New Hampshire Roads, Bridges & Transit

A new report that evaluates the current condition, use and funding of New Hampshire’s surface transportation system will be released at a news conference in Concord at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 21.

The report, “Moving New Hampshire Forward: The Condition and Funding of New Hampshire’s Surface Transportation System,” analyzes road and bridge conditions, traffic congestion, economic development and job creation, highway safety, transit needs, and transportation funding in New Hampshire. TRIP’s report identifies needed transportation projects throughout the state that cannot move forward without additional transportation funding. TRIP is a national nonprofit transportation research group based in Washington, DC.

TRIP’s Carolyn Bonifas will present the findings of the report at the news conference. Local officials will also be on hand to comment on the report. In addition to the speakers listed below, the following individuals and organizations will participate: Representative David Campbell, American Council of Engineering Companies, New Hampshire Automotive Dealers Association, Nashua Regional Planning Commission, Chiefs of Police, Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Good Roads, Pike Industries, Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire, and A Safer Road to Tomorrow.
