Fairchild Brothers Inc. is no stranger to moving dirt. Now they’ll be doing it with a new Volvo MCT135C compact track loader they won through a Volvo Construction Equipment sweepstakes held during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011.

Fairchild Brothers Inc. of Winfield, Pa., has been awarded a complimentary two-year lease on a Volvo MCT135C compact track loader through Volvo Financial Services. Fairchild Brothers Inc. has also received complete warranty and servicing coverage and a variety of attachments for the compact track loader.

Chris Sauers, superintendent of Fairchild Brothers Inc. entered the sweepstakes for the two-year lease of the new compact track loader at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 in Las Vegas. While visiting the Volvo booth with Guy Fairchild, president of Fairchild Brothers Inc., Sauers entered on behalf of his employer.

“When we found out Chris’ name was drawn, we were eager to add the compact track loader to our fleet. We hope it performs as well as our Volvo ECR58 mini excavator and our EC290 excavator,” says Guy Fairchild. “We plan to use it in a number of applications. We have a pretty good track record of being able to adapt different equipment to different jobs.”

Fairchild Brothers Inc. has over 40 years of contracting experience and provides a full range of services, including grading and road construction, site development, utility construction, paving, and snow removal.

Fairchild Brothers Inc. took delivery of the Volvo MCT135C on June 24 from local Volvo Construction Equipment dealer, Highway Equipment and Supply Company located in Lock Haven, Pa. The compact track loader was accompanied by an 84-inch landscape bucket, 84-inch multi-purpose bucket (also called a 6-in-1 utility bucket), and a 42-inch frame and pallet fork.

The new Volvo MCT135C was introduced at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011. The compact track loader has a unique single loader arm design that delivers high performance and durability, while improving operator safety with side-entry cab access and class-leading visibility. The vertical-lift, 92-horsepower MCT135C has a rated operating capacity of 3,000 pounds, allowing for application versatility.

“We’re excited to be able to have one of the first Volvo compact track loaders and to be working with Volvo Construction Equipment,” says Russ Fairchild, co-owner of Fairchild Brothers Inc. “We’ll put the MCT135C to good use.”
