GeoShack Opens Two Operations In Michigan

GeoShack announced today the continued expansion of its retail operations with the addition of two new locations in Michigan, bringing the total to 22 stores in 6 states and 2 provinces across North America. The new locations in the Detroit and Grand Rapids metro areas will distribute Topcon construction and survey products over the entire state.

This expansion is the result of a new partnership with Michigan Laser, which was founded by Mike Fitzpatrick in 1987.  They began distributing Topcon products in 1995 and then expanded into the western part of the state by forming Michigan Laser West with his partner Rick Winenger in 2001.  Mike Fitzpatrick, President of Michigan Laser was quoted as saying “With the support of a much larger company like GeoShack, we will have access to more inventory and resources to support our customers.”

Dan O’Reilly, VP & Regional Manager of Geo Shack added “We will continue the operations at both locations with the same great team of people.  I am excited about the opportunity to help our new customers in Michigan be successful and profitable with Topcon products from GeoShack.” Scott Beathard, President of GeoShack North America, Inc., also stated, “Expanding into Michigan is a logical step for us to grow our Midwestern operations.  We see a lot of opportunities on the horizon in

Michigan and are excited about being a part of that.”

GeoShack will continue to maintain both full service stores including sales and rentals of construction lasers, total stations, GPS, machine control and survey instruments, as well as supplies, accessories, service and support.  We are committed to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
