O’Brien Construction Company, Inc. (www.obriencc.com) announced that it has hired Kevin Braye as its chief financial officer.
In this position, Braye is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities for the firm that is celebrating its 50th anniversary. He also holds a leadership role in the development and evaluation of short- and long-term financial objectives and manages processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, consolidation and reporting.
The Grosse Pointe Park resident comes to O’Brien Construction from Barton Malow Company, where he started his 11-year career as corporate controller before being promoted to Treasurer in 2005. A licensed CPA, Braye also held positions with Arthur Andersen, LLP, and Avanti Press, Inc.
Braye, a University of Detroit Mercy alumnus, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and Construction Financial Management Association. He also serves on The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America’s National Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee.
