Riley Construction’s John Delavan is one of only seven in Wisconsin to hold the CPE designation

Riley Construction announces John Delavan, senior estimator, has successfully earned Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) status through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE). He is one of only seven in the state of Wisconsin that maintains this national certification.

The CPE designation allows Delavan the authority to assure Riley Construction project estimates are accurate and reliable according to all applicable ASPE professional and ethical codes and standards by execution of the official ASPE seal.

Established in 1976, the ASPE certification is the highest form of professional recognition an estimator can achieve. Through its certification program, ASPE recognizes the estimating proficiency and ethical awareness of the CPE. It is the only program of its kind to attest that a construction estimator has met the necessary educational and experience requirements and has the capabilities required of the profession. Membership consists of construction professionals from the residential, heavy, general, specialty trade and conceptual industries.

Delavan has more than 13 years of construction industry experience. He also holds accreditations through the United States Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and WasteCap Wisconsin with accreditation in construction and demolition recycling. Delavan is a member of the University of Wisconsin System Sustainable Management Advisory Board and is a graduate of Purdue University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in construction management.
