The 2011 CONEXPO-CON/AGG exhibition (Las Vegas, Nevada, 22 – 26 March 2011) provided the international launch pad for three new models from the Sandvik Breakers Lahti product range. The new BR555, BR777 and BR999 units are designed for carriers in the 1.9 to 12.5 tonne operating weight range, and expand the Sandvik product offering in a key customer segment that includes owners and operators of mini excavators, skid steer and backhoe loaders.
Designed to satisfy the specific demands of rental fleet operators, the 275 kg BR555, 370 kg BR777 and 505 kg BR999 are designed for optimum carrier compatibility and installation flexibility. A flange top-mount for adapter installation, pivoting hose connecting block, reversible manifold, right or left-hand hose connections, and the ability to accept a wide range of oil flows and pressures allow the new additions to the Sandvik Small Breaker range to work with a broad range of carrier makes and models for optimum fleet utilisation.
Each new model utilise the proven Constant Blow Energy (CBE) operating principle that ensures maximum impact energy with every blow for maximum productivity and profitability. As a result, the three new units offer enhanced power-to-weight ratios and the highest possible productivity levels.
Durable and Reliable
This is matched by enhanced levels of durability, reliability and serviceability. Each model features a moulded box-type housing that minimises noise and vibration while providing exceptional protection of the power cell.
With no tie rods and a single retainer pin, the new BR555, BR777 and BR999 feature fewer parts for easier and reduced maintenance. As an example, maintenance-free, membrane-type accumulators enable continuous operation without recharging while a retainer pin cover and locking system from the Sandvik Large breaker range provides a long working life.
The durable, low-maintenance characteristics of the new additions to the Sandvik Small range are enhanced still further by a comprehensive range of genuine Sandvik large diameter tools that provide greater wear and bending resistance, increasing the breaker life span and reducing owning and operating costs still further.
