The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) recently debuted its new information resource and video series during the Snow Strategies Forum in Chicago, IL. The program outlines what property managers need to know before hiring a Snow & Ice removal professional for the upcoming winter season.
The new videos cover three key topics, which are each crucial to consider in advance of hiring snow and ice removal professionals: Professionalism, Reliability and Risk Management. In addition, the online resource includes fact-based, quality information from unbiased industry experts on how to prepare in advance, as well as access to local options, for establishing a game plan and getting ready for storms before they hit.
Pre-season, advanced preparation is critical for an industry that hinges on rapid response and can make or break access for emergency responders. For property managers, using SIMA guidance for more knowledgeable, better decisions ensures a quality experience in snow and ice removal. The result is more prepared property managers and snow professionals that can operate with precision to respond quickly to winter weather, saving business and preventing accidents.
“SIMA has a strong history as a leading force in the snow and ice management industry,” explains Martin Tirado, CAE, executive director of SIMA. “Property managers look to us to help make better, more knowledgeable decisions, because we’re an unbiased expert source. They ask us: what they need to know, what they can expect and how they know they’re getting great service. We’re excited to present the information, in written and video format, for a more prepared community all around; because when winter storms hit being prepared means everything.”
